Happy Holidays !
It's been awhile since I have had time to post, this is such a crazy time of year !
The Saturday after Thanksgiving I participated in a Holiday open house/Sale at Jana's house. Our turnout was not as big as we hoped but still a great time and always fun to be with my claymates ! It seems like I have been going non stop since then creating Holiday items and loving every minute of it. It is so cold here right now I can't think of a better way to spend my time. My crochet hooks and pens have been especially popular.
Cameron has finally started to give his own shots, I am so proud of him !! He knew the nurses would be asking him at his appt. on Monday so he tried it on Sunday night. The nurses and Dr. Donaldson showered him with praise and even a few gifts as a reward. The order was placed for his pump and he will be getting started with it at the end of January. We are all excited about that !

Mica Shift !!
On Tuesday (10/2/07) Karen came to my house and taught me the Mica Shift technique. I Love it !!! It's so fun learning something new. I am lucky that she had the inks and stamps as I did not have any. I definitely need to get some now though, because I want to do many more pieces using this technique. Thanks Karen : )

9th & 9th Street Fair
Yesterday I along with Friends and Fellow Claymates Lorie O Follett, Jana Roberts Benzon and Karen Watanabe had a booth at the 9th and 9th Steet Fair in Salt Lake City. None of us made a fortune but had a great time showing off our work, chatting with people and enjoying the nice weather. Of course Polly was a big hit and attention getter (please follow the link to Lorie O Folletts website to find out about Polly). Lacey and Cameron came down with Mike and were in charge of the Polly's "Fart Machine". Unfortunately I forgot my camera but the look on peoples faces as they tried to figure out if Polly was a real woman was just priceless. I can't wait to do another show, it's so much fun !

New Beads
I completed my brown and red pillow beads today and I just got done listing these floral rounds on Ebay.
I have been experimenting with some really cool new designs using kaleidoscope canes and have also been trying to perfect mobius beads. I can't quite get the sizes uniform even though the can slices are the same size. I guess it will take some practice.

I have finally decided to start a Blog !
Lately I have been looking back at my Polymer clay creations from the past couple of years and noticed all of the changes and improvements since I first started and this seems like a great way to document my work. I hope to even start posting some tutorials very soon. When I first started working with Polymer Clay I mainly made character beads but recently I have been concentrating on florals, and totally loving it !
The photo's above are just a few of the Goldens we have Fostered over the last couple of years + our own Max and Remmie as well. Enjoy ~
