Another Current Project * My New Dollhouse !

I have also been working on my NEW Dollhouse, the Buttercup cottage by Corona. I am about half done and hope to finish it this week.... Pics coming soon ! Once finished it will be my new Bakery including a Bakery counter on the main floor, table and chairs etc... and the kitchen and storage will be upstairs.

A Wee Bit of Whimsy

My newest line of Polymer clay items comes from me having Spring fever and looking forward to creating an outside fairy garden. I love this kind of thinking because it takes me away from the Real world. It allows me to think in bright crazy colors and Everything is Whimsical, Enchanted and Magical.

Is it me or is Miniature Food really FUN ?

I Love to make miniature food from polymer clay. It looks yummy and I think it's always a great conversation starter. It's kind of ironic too that I rarely use my oven for anything but baking clay.

One by One

One by one they pass by my cage
Too old,too worn,too broken, no way
Way past his time, he can't run and play
They shake their heads slowly and go on their way.

A little old man, arthritic and sore
It seems I am not wanted anymore
I once had a home, I once had a bed
A Place that was warm, and where I was fed

Now my Muzzle is gray, my eyes slowly fail
Who wants a dog that is so old and so frail ?
My family decided I didn't belong
I got in their way, my attitude was wrong

Whatever excuse they made in their head
Can't justify how they left me for dead
Now I sit in this cage, where day after day,
The youngster dogs get adopted away

When I had almost come to the end of my rope
You saw my face and I finally had hope
You saw through the gray, and the legs bent with age
and felt I still had life beyond the cage

You took me home, gave me food and a bed
and shared your own pillow with my poor tired head.
We snuggle and play, and you talk to me low,
You love me so dearly, you want me to know

I may have live most of my life with another,
but you outshine them with a love so much stronger
I promise to return all the love I can give,
to you my dear person, as long as I live.

I may be with you for a week, or for years,
we will share many smiles, you will no doubt shed tears,
When the time comes that God deems I must leave,
I know you will cry and your heart, it will grieve.

And when I arrive at the Bridge all brand new,
My thoughts and my heart will still be with you.
And I will brag to all who will hear,
of the person who made my last days so dear.

Completed order for Angels on Stage

Simple Valentine Ideas

I was just watching Good Things Utah and saw some of the cutest ValentineS Day ideas that barely cost a Thing !

* Write a Love Note on a Mirror with a Dry Erase Marker (Who Knew !)

* Paper clip a Love Note on your Sweethearts Seat Belt the night Before

* For Oatmeal Eaters ~ Put the oatmeal in a Bowl, Put a heart shaped cookie cutter on top then sprinkle red or pink colored sugar or candies

* Add a bit of red food coloring to your pancake batter and use heart shaped cookie cutters to cut them out

* Write a note and use a glue dot to affix it to the bottom of a glass so the person drinking see's it when they finish

Angels on Stage

I think it's amazing how we grow so much as people when we have a child with a disease or dissability. We learn not to "Sweat the Small Stuff" and Learn to Turn negatives in to positives. I have tried to Teach this to Cameron as well and he is an Awesome Student. He tells me from time to time that as much as Diabetes Sucks he is so glad that I don't work outside the home anymore. We are always talking about how if it werent for his Diabetes we would do this or that differently. I am so proud of him and think our family is stronger and closer beacause of him. Don't get me wrong there are bad days with tears and anger but the good definitely outweigh the bad.
